The Beavers basketball team, backed by Wester Drug of Wilton and Muscatine, has transformed into one of the hottest teams down the stretch of the season. After a rocky start, the return of key player Breyer Putnam marked a turning point, triggering a thrilling series of victories. The team, led by Coach Hetzler, went from a winless first half to triumphing in seven of their last nine games, defeating formidable opponents like Mid-Prairie and Al Burnett.
