Inside the Keokuk Chiefs Golf Season: An Interview with Coach Bogart
The season for the Keokuk Chiefs golf team is being supported by Wyatt Moore, the Livestock Risk Management Partnership, and other local sponsors. In a recent interview, Coach Bogart shared insights into the team's composition and prospects. This year, the team consists of seven players, the smallest roster in Coach Bogart's tenure, but filled with promising talent.
Key players include sophomores Carter Land and Ashton Snodgrass, who have varsity experience, along with eager freshmen Luke Ames, Mason Baker, and Colton Spicer. Despite their lack of varsity play, these freshmen have competed in youth tournaments, bringing a competitive edge and camaraderie to the team.
As they prepare for their first meet on April 3rd, the team is focusing on collaboration and skill-building. The Keokuk Chiefs will face tough competition in the Southeastern Conference, with strong teams like Washington, Mont Pleasant, and Fairfield poised as formidable opponents. Coach Bogart is optimistic about the team's potential, as they engage in a mix of dual meets, invitationals, and 18-hole tournaments in the upcoming season.
